In October 2010, a high tech space telescope owned by American National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), has signed an unknown object between India and Sri Lanka. Interestingly, the object looks much like a bridge connecting the two countries. Upon the amazing discoveries, the NASA has named the object as 'Adam's Bridge'.
Estimated to be over a 30-kilometer-sized, the object has a similar curved lines like a bridge. Following the discovery, it got the attention of the Department of Archaeology of Sri Lanka. Through a statement issued by the department, they confirmed the object in question is an ancient bridge, known as Rama's Bridge.
Based on the study that was conducted, the presence of the bridge proved by observation of an ancient book known as the Mahabharata and Ramayana .
According to the study, the age of the bridge may reach one to two million years. Interestingly, the bridge allegedly built by the people living at the time.
However , the question is what extent the truth of this assertion ? How the people of that time managed to build a bridge measuring over 30 yards ? It is something very possible!
If you look at this situation , the existence of these artifacts did not really fit with its time. The discovery of an ancient bridge that has set the period in which the pattern of comparative social and technological construction causes this artifact was seen coming out of an era that is not worth the time it is discovered.
However , the discovery of such artifacts is still questionable and cannot be explained to this day .
According to the theory by a member of the U.S. Cryptozoologist Ivan T. Sanderson, such findings is known as Out of Place Artifact ( OOPART)
He added OOPART phenomenon is unexplained occurrences. It is also the most foreign term rarely used in a discovery.
Referring to the object of history, archeology or paleontology found are not suitable at the time and place. It is seen as opposed to history, and theories of the time.
Besides' Adam Bridge, there are two known archaeological categorized as OOPART. Let's have a look at them:
Crystal Skull
First, the findings or Crystal Skull ' Crystal Skull ' is an artifact of the Maya in Yakatan , Mexico .
The Maya is known as the people who made a prediction about the impending destruction of the Earth in the year 2012. This prediction is based on the solar calendar calculations in this civilization .
However, after the discovery of Crystal Skull , many archaeologists feel too many secrets of the Maya civilization that they did not know .
Looking from the shape and skull designs , many researchers assume that is an impossible for this race to be able of producing artifacts in which it is so perfect for this skull made from gemstones Amesthyst .
The question is , how intelligent is the Maya when they are able to form a hard rock artifacts like a human skull that even the man in the age of technology now may possibly have difficulties to carve this gem ?
Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphic Writing
In addition to the ancient Mayan artifact , another discovery is considered to be OOPART is the hieroglyphs depicting the writings of ancient civilizations of Egypt before Christ.
Strangely enough, this script contained various types of aircraft during this era such as helicopters , airplanes and other figures that may exist in the future.
However , the emergence of this writing remains a question as the first aircraft created on earth just happened in the 16th century created by two brothers , Orville and Wilbur Wright .
However, the term OOPART submitted by Sanderson denied by some historians are skeptical. They argue that the technology to produce artifacts have already been contemporaneous with the development of civilization.
So , claims that artifacts manufacturing technology lead times do not exist.
This group argues, this is purely hoaxes and it has nothing to do with the technology that preceded the time .
