Kim Chang-hee, a senior prosecutor at Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office, said that Korean Air executives and employees interfered with the transport ministry's probe by destroying documents and fabricating evidence.
Cho, who is the daughter of the airline's chairman, kicked a crewmember off a December 5 flight over the way she was served macadamia nuts. Her over-mighty behavior infuriated the public.
Kim said a current airline executive was charged with destroying evidence and interfering with the probe. A transport ministry official was indicted for leaking secrets about the investigation.
