GIANT FOOTPRINTS BELIEVED TO BE BIG FOOT


JOHOR BAHRU - It was something strange when three pairs of muddy footprints , the first looks like a tiger footprints , second one look like elephant feet and a third resembling human footprints in big size is found.

The tracks of the footprints that spans almost 1km near Endau Rompin reserve forest makes retirees Sia Chwee Khim , 64 , and her husband Lim Teong Kheng, 66 , was surprised and very excited .

They believe that the third footprints may be the footprints of ' Bigfoot ' which has been the story of the myth.

The couple, along with their daughter Joanna , 30 , and a group of friends from Singapore decided to track the footprints found along more than 1km on May 10.

"It's very shocking. The creature has been running in the red soil  and then to the tar road , leaving a clear trail  for us to see , " Sia said , adding that the group has taken a lot of pictures and measure the footprints of a size of about 48cm long and 11cm wide.

" We try to follow the step and reach but our feet are not able to adjust to the distance measure.

" We also rule out the possibility that the effects left by the elephant as it is quite oval , like a human foot , and has four protruding pointy toes , " he said.

The group was heading to Endau Rompin when they discover that a strange effect .

Sia explains that what is puzzling group when the alleged footprints of ' Bigfoot ' is accompanied footprints of elephants and tigers .

State Wildlife Department director Hasnan Yusop said a team of officers carrying out inspections footprints and concluded that it might be an elephant footprints .

"It could be an elephant's wet feet walking by dragging it's feet leaving the imprint and a long reach, " he said.

On the footprints of elephants and tigers , Hasnan said the animal is not necessarily move together but could be using the same route at different times .

The last time the Bigfoot in the news was in the year 2005 when a group of workers claimed to have seen a large hairy creature at Mawai Village , Kota Tinggi, Johor .

The workers try to catch the creature but failed .

They also reportedly found large footprints measuring between 40cm and 50cm in the mud.

Chairman of the  Johor Association of Environmental Advocates, Vincent Chow said he received the news of Bigfoot footprints on the same day , adding that it is quite likely that this is a joke because the soles of the feet has a distance of 1km .

"Maybe it upright bipedal primate feet that is never found by anyone , " he said, adding there are many animal footprints findings like these, especially by the locals, but authorities often do not take it as a serious matter
